Hello, I’m Tamson

I believe that a high-performance culture is characterised by an exceptionally aligned Leadership Team.

I started my own leadership career in my late 20s as a Deputy Head in secondary education.

I experienced a lot of success in raising the educational standards of inner-city young people and went on to set up my first consultancy ‘All In: Inclusion Matters’ in 2012.

One of the biggest challenges I faced in my early career came from my own thinking

There were days when I questioned everything, my efficiency and my skill as a leader:

Am I doing this right?

Is this the most efficient path forward?

I utilised every leadership framework I could get my hands on to solve the complex challenges in team dynamics, performance and culture.

Yet something was missing.

My path led me to a meeting with Professor Steve Peters, the brains behind the transformative 'Chimp Paradox'. This revolutionary approach to mind management has underpinned the success of numerous Team GB athletes and hundreds of corporate and educational teams.

In 2013, I embraced an invitation to join Steve Peters’ consultancy, Chimp Management.

Here, my expertise in psychology and leadership intersected with the realm of neuroscience.

The revelation?  A deeper understanding of how the intricacies of the mind can significantly influence and determine self-management, team dynamics, performance and culture.

With over a decade's experience in professional coaching, I’ve partnered with industry leaders such as X/Twitter UK, Hotwire, BJSS, Spotify, TikTok, Sainsbury’s Argos and Defected Records.

During my experience in leadership, I’ve seen first-hand the difference between a fragmented Leadership Team and a Leadership Team that is aligned and unified.

I’ve observed that when a leadership team is aligned and unified, it’s highly effective in strategy, decision-making, being accountable and ensuring their teams are supported, productive and galvanised to deliver growth.

I’ve observed that when Leadership Teams become fragmented, particularly during times of change, transformation or pressure, this can weaken the vision, giving rise to conflict and silos. In turn, this permeates company culture and hinders productivity and collaboration.

Neglecting Leadership Team development and dedicating little time to work ‘on’ the team can lead to misalignment, fragmentation and inefficiency.

Aligning and unifying Leadership Teams involves:

  • Leadership Teams getting clear on their identity and agreeing on the impact they want to have.

  • Leadership Teams drawing strength from their differences and interacting with emotional intelligence.

  • Leadership Teams standing united to deliver change and business growth that benefits all of its stakeholders.

If you and your team are to be agile and stay ahead of change then evolving your thinking and practice is paramount.

My measurable approach to Executive Coaching and Leadership Development is rooted in neuroscience and psychology, integrating the Chimp Model, the TRIBE methodology (Centre for Team Excellence), and in-depth expertise in human behaviour and team dynamics. I am an educator at heart, also associated with Henley Business School delivering masterclasses on their membership programmes.

Drawing on my leadership career, a master’s degree in leadership, extensive training in team identity and a decade of coaching practice working close to Olympic teams, tech giants and creative agencies - I’ve crafted Coaching and Leadership Programmes that evolve leadership expertise, strengthen team commitment and empower leaders to deliver change and catalyse growth for the benefit of all its stakeholders.

The result?

A high-performance culture characterised by an exceptionally aligned and unified Leadership Team.

Let’s start a conversation

Methods

Emotional Intelligence

The Chimp Model is a framework that sees the brain divided into three teams: The Chimp, The Human and The Computer.  Understanding how these teams operate in the mind increases skill in self management and working together effectively.  Tamson uses these principals in her coaching and training delivery.

Leadership Expertise

Tamson’s leadership and executive coaching, rooted in cutting-edge neuroscience and psychology, draws from a decade of coaching practice working close to Olympic teams, tech giants and creative agencies, offering a measurable approach to aligning and unifying Leadership Teams.

Team Alignment

The TRIBE model uses social identity theory to give teams a performance advantage. TRIBE methodology identifies a teams; traditions, relevance, identity, belonging and effectiveness to create high performance.  Tamson is accredited and skilful in weaving TRIBE methodology into her coaching and training delivery.
